WHO AM I?
I’m Mikail Ozdemir, a DJ and music producer whose journey began in Bursa, Türkiye. For me, music is a natural way to express myself and connect with people. Whether it’s the emotion in a melody or the energy of a crowd moving to the same rhythm, those moments keep me creating.
I started producing music in 2017, driven by curiosity about how to create my own sound. Those early days were spent experimenting, listening, and learning.

In 2018, I began DJing and discovered how music takes on a different life when it meets an audience. What started in my bedroom gradually grew into releasing my own tracks and finding my place on stage.
In 2020, I released my first official track, Music Takes Me. Releases such as Killin’ Is My Job, Low, Falling, Whenever, and Energy followed, giving me room to explore different ideas. Each track helped me better understand the music I wanted to make.

My sound began with Deep House and gradually evolved toward Afro House and Melodic House. Today, my productions bring together rhythmic percussion, deep basslines, and ethnic melodies. Reinterpreting sounds from Türkiye and other cultures through electronic music has become an important part of my work.
Collaborating with other musicians has also opened up new creative possibilities. Alongside my work with Yargıcı and Bella K., my tracks Chorjavon and Motherland, released through Cafe De Anatolia, have helped my music reach new listeners.

Remixes are as much a part of my musical identity as my original productions. I enjoy imagining familiar songs in a different rhythmic and emotional setting. In my Afro House interpretations of Turkish songs, I aim to preserve the feeling of the original while bringing my own perspective to it.
My remix of Melek Mosso’s Vursalar Ölemem became an important turning point in my journey. ONFAYA shared it first, followed shortly afterward by &SARA, introducing the track to new audiences. Both shares generated millions of plays and helped me become more widely known across Türkiye.

On stage, I also perform as Gökhan Özen’s DJ. Production and live performance constantly inform one another in my work. In the studio, I focus on the details; on stage, I respond to the moment and the audience. Both experiences shape the sets I play and the tracks I create.
I continue to develop my sound, discover new influences, and make new music. The curiosity that inspired my first experiments in my bedroom is still with me—and I bring it to every track and every stage.
